Internationalization Policy

Introduction
Adıyaman University aims to be an active, visible, and sustainable higher education institution in the international academic arena. The internationalization policy developed in this regard aims to increase student and academic staff mobility, strengthen international partnerships, support the attraction of international students and academics, and enhance global recognition. Our internationalization policy is structured to directly align with the goals and actions in our university's 2025–2028 Internationalization Strategy.

Policy Objectives
Objective 1: Increasing the Number of International Students
− Conducting multilingual promotional activities and promoting cultural diversity in target countries
− Establishing scholarships, accommodation, and guidance mechanisms for international students
− Increasing the number of programs in English and other foreign languages
− Planning orientation and club activities to support social and cultural integration for international students
− Contributing to university promotion through an international alumni network

Objective 2: Developing International Academic Collaborations
− Establishing joint master's and doctoral programs, particularly with Azerbaijan and the Organization of Turkic States countries
− Increasing the number of agreements signed under KA171 and KA131
− Deepening international collaboration through joint research projects, scientific publications, and events
− Encouraging dual degree and joint degree programs with higher education institutions
− Encouraging greater participation in international consortium projects

Objective 3: Increasing International Recognition and Visibility
− International Completing accreditation processes and increasing unit-level recognition

- Establishing a reporting infrastructure to provide data for higher education rankings

- Updating the university website and promotional materials in English and other languages

- Increasing participation in international fairs, congresses, and research weeks

- Sustaining the ties of international graduates to the university

Goal 4: Promoting Academic Mobility and Cultural Interaction

- Increasing student and staff mobility through programs such as Erasmus+
- Providing a suitable environment for international academics to teach and conduct research at Adıyaman University

- Organizing language training and international programs to improve the foreign language proficiency of academic staff

- Expanding research-based collaborations through joint doctoral programs

- Conducting information seminars, digital content, and promotional campaigns to raise internationalization awareness

Goal 5: Supporting sustainable mobility, digitalization competencies, and participation in democratic life in line with European Union policies and Erasmus+ programs

- Implementing paperless Erasmus+ To promote.

- Support green travel alternatives and environmentally friendly forms of mobility.

- Prioritize sustainability and environmental awareness in mobility processes.

- Organize digital skills development training for academic and administrative staff.

- Provide infrastructure and support that encourages the effective use of digital technologies in educational and administrative processes.

- Develop programs to increase students' technological literacy and digital competencies.

- Raise the awareness of participants on fundamental European democratic values, human rights, and active citizenship within the scope of Erasmus+ mobility.

- Organize training on democratic participation, common values, and civic awareness in pre- and post-mobility orientation programs.

- Organize workshops, panels, and events on intercultural dialogue and democratic values.

- Encourage participants' interaction with local democratic platforms and civil society organizations.

Policy Monitoring and Evaluation
The success of the policy; It will be regularly monitored in line with the performance indicators specified in the 2025–2028 strategic plan, evaluated annually by the Internationalization Commission, and action plans will be updated as necessary.
